read image size in px: Resize and Skew opens in Percentage mode (reads 100), so pick Pixels, then read the Horizontal and Vertical edits (width, height); Cancel closes it. Status bar text CanvasSizeTextBlock shows the same size
: hotkey ctrl+w, then select Pixels, then invoke Cancel. Agents have followed it once.

Canvas group name 'Using <X> tool on Canvas' updated after flyout picks but stayed stale ('Pencil') after select on the Brushes radio; the ribbon highlight and the Size slider show the real tool. Undo stays disabled until something is drawn
